It's Friday so here's a slideshow of otters from around the world

It may seem like a strange choice of animal to exhibit…but just take a look. Plus, there’s an extra-special bonus video.

THE OTTER IS thought to be one of the most intelligent creatures in the world, often engaging in human-like behaviour.

Otters can often be found holding hands (cute!), sliding down hills, playing chasing games (seriously!) and wrestling. They also love to sunbathe during the day and come out to play at night.

You may not be overly familiar with them but they are definitely worth checking out. Our own Michael Freeman convinced the rest of us here at TheJournal.ie HQ of their absolute awesomeness.

Need another reason? Well, it’s Friday.
