Demi Lovato took to her Instagram yesterday for the first time since July to encourage her fans to vote in the US midterm elections.

In July, Demi was hospitalised at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. for 12 days following an overdose at her Hollywood Hills home. Last week, Demi’s mam Dianna De La Garza gave an update on her daughter’s health.

Speaking on Maria Menounos‘ Sirius XM show last week, Dianna said: “Yes, she has 90 days [sober] and I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her becuase addiction being a disease is work.

It’s very hard and there are no short cuts.”

Cheryl’s revealed the real reason why she took some time off from music – basically, her head was wrecked.

Speaking on fellow singer Jessie Ware’s podcast Table Manners, the former Girls Aloud star said of her hiatus: “I needed it [a break] for my sanity. I honestly didn’t know how much I needed it until I did it. I’d just had enough.

“I wasn’t inspired, I was jaded. It felt like a negative space I was living in and then you get to the point where it’s like ‘What is the point?’

I could be doing something I hate doing and feel the same way, so why am I like putting myself through this?”

Also, her upcoming new single ‘Love Made Me Do It’ isn’t about Liam Payne, just FYI – despite the lyrics being pretty ambiguous.

All the music and all the songs that I’ve got ready were done way before we split – none of them are about anybody. I wasn’t sat writing a love poem to anyone or about anybody.

It’s something that anyone who’s been in love will be able to relate to in some way or another. It’s catchy and it’s fun. It’s not about one specific person or relationship, it’s more about me being the lover of love that I am. I just love love!’

Eh, apparently Jack Whitehall and Kate Beckinsale might be a thing now?

The actress was spotted near the comedian’s gaff after the pair shared a steamy kiss in an LA nightclub earlier in the week.

Kate was in London filming new movie new movie Toff Guys with Matthew Mcconaughey, but it might not have been strictly business for her as she was also photographed near Jack’s London home.

An onlooker said: “No one would expect someone like Jack to bag one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses. You couldn’t get a more unlikely romance.” (Eh, hateful?)

They were like a pair of loved-up teenagers and weren’t trying to hide their feelings.”

Jack split from long-term girlfriend Gemma Chan, 35, star of Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, last December, after six years together.

Kate’s 12-year marriage to American film director Len Wiseman ended in 2016 after he filed for divorce.
