James Blunt accidentally emailed everyone in the UK
SINGER JAMES BLUNT accidentally spammed millions of people from his personal email account when he launched a mailout of his new single.
Thousands of Twitter users were surprised to find copies of the guitar-wielding troubadour’s newest release Bonfire Heart in their inboxes, having expressed no previous interest in his work.
The single contained a link to the new song, and an explanation that the song was about love, life, fear and hope
Awkward.
Matters, however, were clarified when James bashfully apologised.
According to the Guardian, Blunt’s label Warner Music have since said that the mailout was a “clerical error” accidentally dispatched to a number of the label’s mailing lists.
The news sent Twitter users into disarray:
Though some dealt with it summarily.
Some were disappointed.
And some were inspired to rewrite classic novels.
