Japanese Macaques enjoy a hot bath during cold snap

South Korea’s cold weather has proved problematic for the country’s animal-keepers.

SOUTH KOREA EXPERIENCED a cold snap earlier this week which proved problematic for the nation’s zoos.

At the Everland amusement park in Yongin, south of Seoul, a hot spring bath was set up for the Japanese macaques.

The National Weather Service issued a cold wave watch and the temperature reached minus 11 degrees Celsius. Yep, we would have been grateful for the hot spring baths too.

An adult Japanese macaque bathes its baby in the hot water.

And then works on himself.

Whole families came together to catch a ray of rare sunshine.
