IN AN INTERVIEW shared by Variety yesterday, Adam Sandler spoke to Jennifer Lawrence, and made the mistake of describing the actress ‘light and approachable’ when she’s in public.
She quickly corrected Sandler, explaining how that’s not the case:
Generally, once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude. I turn into a huge asshole. That’s kind of like my only way of defending myself.
This statement can be backed up by the fact that she called a photographer who attempted to pet her dog a ‘f**king loser‘ and that story she told where she detailed how she made a fan cry by throwing beer all over him and his belongings.
She told Adam Sandler that as soon as she sees somebody approaching her table, she immediately will gesture for them to do a 180 and walk away.
Lawrence also added that anyone who asks for a selfie will receive a very firm “no”. Other times, she will say “It’s my day off.”
If it’s Sunday I’m like ‘It’s Sunday’. I’m not working today.
Adam Sandler said he tries to be a little friendlier, as he’s getting on in life. Saying he was deep in the ‘winter’ of his life, Sandler joked that he “wants to meet as many people as [he] can”.
