THE BRITISH CULTURE Secretary Jeremy Hunt has been involved in what’s being dubbed a ‘bell malfunction’ after his over enthusiastic shaking of a bell saw the end of it become unhinged and hit a woman.
The incident happened as the senior government minister was taking part in a nationwide bell ringing event to mark the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
He was asked to shake the bell and duly obliged before it flew off the handle and into the crowd, apparently striking a woman,
Hunt was quick to check on the woman and remarked to the cameraman: “You got a little more TV there than you were expecting.”
