Jim Carrey says he won't stop creating his anti Trump art anytime soon

Some critics have said the art is ‘insensitive’.

WHEN DONALD TRUMP is the President of your country, it can lead to a number of protests. Some take the traditional form of marches while others take a more creative form such as artwork. Actor Jim Carrey has chosen the latter and isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon.

Carrey has been painting a lot in recent months and has taken some criticism with some of his efforts as they depict the deaths of sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump or his piece that depicted the President having sex with adult actress Stormi Daniels.

Speaking at 2018 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour while promoting his new show ‘Kidding’ Carrey said that the paintings helped him cope with what is currently happening in the US.

I’m doing cartoons because I can’t just watch this nightmare unfold. I have to make it into something that is at least creative and decent. Even if it’s crass at times, it’s the crass that I’m expressing that everyone wants to express but can’t necessarily do so in their own lives.”

Carrey admitted that he thinks Trump probably like the attention that he gets from the artwork.

He probably loves them on some level. I’m sure it’s insulting and it probably pissed him off. But at the same time, we’re dealing with a narcissist, so it’s not always a straight shot.”

When asked what his plans were for the artwork, he replied that he doesn’t plan anything.

It’s not a choice, it’s just happening. It’s my reflex to what I’m seeing I don’t like. So, it’s just a civilized way of dealing with it, I think. To express it and to kind of get on board with as many voices other as possible that are shouting from the rooftops.”

Well it’s one way to pass the time anyway.
