CNN accidentally used footage of Jimmy Carr pretending to work in Starbucks for a story

The footage was from a 2012 sketch where Jimmy worked as a barista for a day.

STARBUCKS CLOSED 8,000 of its stores on Tuesday in order to conduct ‘unconscious bias training’ with their staff. This was after two men of colour were arrested for trespassing in a Starbucks in Philadelphia while waiting for a friend to meet them because they wouldn’t buy any coffee or leave.

You would assume that anti racism training would be a good thing but now CNN have managed to report on the whole thing and accidentally get Jimmy Carr involved.

CNN were doing a report on the training when people spotted that the footage they were using was actually from a 2012 sketch of Jimmy’s where he learns to be a barista for a day.

Naturally everyone was a bit confused as to how on earth CNN used this footage rather than just generic footage of Starbucks but anyway. Clearly someone didn’t do their research properly.

We’re just waiting to start making jokes about Jimmy Carr and Starbucks having things in common such as avoiding tax.

Jimmy himself is yet to comment on the whole thing but no doubt he finds the mix up rather hilarious. Always do your research kids.
