AS EXES GO, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman have it nailed.
The pair, who dated for seven years between 2002 and 2009, manage to navigate that oh-so-familiar awkward territory like absolute pros.
Oh, and they can do it in front of a studio audience.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Sarah was only dying to remind her ex that his wife, Molly, got the new improved version of the man.
It’s not fair! She gets, like, new ‘woke’ Jimmy… I had ‘Man Show’ Jimmy!
Oh, and that was after she sung Molly’s praises to the heavens.
She’s cute! She’s bright! She’s funny! She’s blonde! You’ve got the kids! You’ve got the marriage!
See? Nailing it.
And then she revealed that the reason she’s excessively cool with the whole ‘ex’ thing is because she is no longer capable of seeing her ex-partners in a particular light after they break up.
Enter Jimmy; the non-sexual being.
I’m good at separating that, you know? I can’t even imagine you as a sexual being anymore.
Failing to take Sarah’s cue and act cool with the whole dynamic, a perplexed Jimmy replied:
Really?! You don’t have to make the yuck face.
Well, now that you went and pulled at that thread Jimmy, Sarah’s happy to drive it home for you.
No, but I really, really thought about it. I went like this [makes concentrated face].
And nope, nada; sorry Jimbo.
