JJ Abrams' new blockbuster filming in Dublin?
Updated 18.30pm
Turns out there are two sci-fi projects called Collider in production at the moment… watch this space!
ONE OF THE most anticipated and secretive science fiction movie projects could be filming in Dublin next week.
Mystery has shrouded the Collider film collaboration between Scott Pilgrim v the World director Edgar Wright and JJ Abrams, the man behind Lost, Star Trek and Cloverfield.
TheJournal.ie has learned that filming for a project called Collider will take place at Ringsend Waste Water Plant next Saturday, with scenes being shot inside and outside the building.
Not much is known about the JJ Abrams/Edgar Wright project, which is a sci-fi film co-written by Wright and Mark Protosevich, who also wrote the scripts for Oldboy and I am Legend. Abrams will produce the movie, which is thought to be based on an original idea by Wright.
There has of course been some speculation about the plot, with Empire magazine wondering if it’s something to do with the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
