This 'offensive' Christmas advert is making people extremely angry

It features men doing something *slightly* compromising.

THIS IS A Christmas advert for the ‘Joe Boxer’ range of men’s underwear at US chain Kmart.

Kmart

It features the sound of Jingle Bells and the sight of men jingling their… well… balls.

And very impressive their skills are too. (OK, OK, they’re not REALLY making the ringing sound. We get it.)

However, the ad – which comes with the hashtag #ShowYourJoe – has sparked fury among Kmart shoppers. A number have reacted angrily on the company’s Facebook page, saying things like:

Your commercial for Joe Boxer briefs is awful. My husband & I both thought it was offensive. Remove the ad.
I do not understand how implying that, testicles are playing Jingle Bells is anything but crude and tasteless humor and appropriate for a general audience. You have taken something wholesome and debased it.
The new Joe Boxer ad is nothing more than TRASH!

And worst of all:

it is a bit of an insult to real bell ringers who work so hard, not an easy thing to do.

However, there are also many people reacting positively to the ad.

I love your new Joe Boxer ad! Thank you for not having your heads shoved up your own Joe Boxers and for showing it is okay to have a sense of humor!
The Jingle Balls/bells commercial was so funny I just shipped my Joe Boxers.

A spokesperson for Kmart told the Huffington Post:

The Kmart ‘Show Your Joe’ commercial playfully showcases Joe Boxer’s men’s clothing available at Kmart. We regret if some people found the commercial offensive, as that was not our intent.

What do you think? Is the ad offensive? Or a bit great?
