AT THIS STAGE, we all know that John Krasinski was a major fan of Emily Blunt long before he met her, let alone married her.

In fact, The Office actor was forced to admit that he had watched The Devil Wears Prada more times than he could remember, and gushes about her at every opportunity.

So, it’s safe to say that John definitely thinks he’s punching above his weight with the British actress, but it must be fairly mortifying to think that other people are of the same opinion.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 38-year-old actor revealed that during a trip to the UK, he mentioned who his wife was, and the customs official wasn’t having a bar of it.

Recalling the exchange that took place, John told Jimmy that the official was a little surly from the get-go, and initiated a conversation about John’s profession.

It says here that you’re an actor. Would I know you from anything?’ And I went, ‘You know, we redid the U.K. version of The Office. Strike one! He was like, ‘Oh, you took what we did perfect.’

And then it went from bad to worse.

And then he says, ‘Who are you visiting here?’ And I was like, ‘My wife.’ He says, ‘Oh, is she an actress? Would I know her?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know man, her name’s Emily Blunt.’

And that’s the moment John knew he’d never have a mate  in this particular man.

He goes like this, ‘You? You? You married Emily Blunt? Go. Just go.’ Like, the stamp was so hard. I was like ‘I’m so sorry!’
