John Legend brilliantly stood up against people 'mom-shaming' Chrissy Teigen

“Funny there’s no dad-shaming.”

LAST MONTH, JOHN Legend and Chrissy Teigen (read: relationship goals) welcomed their baby daughter Luna to the world.

Since then, Teigen’s every move has been dissected and scrutinised. For instance, people lost their minds when she and her husband were photographed going out for dinner a week after their daughter was born.

And her Instagram followers turned on her when she dared to post this photo of herself wearing a crop top. Her crime? Looking too well for someone who just had a baby. (Apparently people have forgotten that Teigen is literally a model.)

Other new moms feel bad enough about their bodies then see this and feel like they should be in crop tops, too.

For the most part, Teigen has taken criticisms of her parenting in her stride…

But earlier this week, her husband decided that enough was enough and kindly asked that if people are going to shame his wife, they’re going to have to shame him, too.

Parenting is 50/50, after all.

The tweet came in response to a segment on The Daily Show on the subject of “mom-shaming” in which comedian Desi Lydic reminded viewers that Teigen and Legend’s child is doing just fine, thank you very much.

You’re worried about the quality of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s child care? It’s not like they’re getting their nanny off Craigslist. They’re rich celebrities. They could get Mary Poppins to watch their baby, as in literally call Julie Andrews, get her to come out of retirement to babysit in character as Mary Poppins.
