Johnny Logan is going to be headlining Electric Ireland's Throwback Stage at EP next weekend

Probably the last person you ever expected to see on the Electric Picnic lineup.

THERE HAVE BEEN plenty of complaints that this year’s Electric Picnic lineup has been alienating some of the festival’s veteran attendees, due to the fact that the lineup is dominated by the likes of Dua Lipa and Kendrick Lamar.

However, with the launch of All Together Now earlier this month and the latest addition to Electric Picnic’s lineup, there is little reason to complain anymore. Today, Electric Ireland announced that Johnny Logan will be joining B*Witched on their Throwback Stage.

Apparently, the Eurovision star has been preparing for this moment his entire life.

After years and years of gigging very successfully around Europe, millions of record sales, performing for heads of state from The Queen of England to Pope John Paul at The Vatican – I’ve finally been asked to play on Electric Ireland’s Throwback  stage at this year’s Electric Picnic!
I am more than delighted and really looking forward to it. The slow set is the perfect way to set the mood before I take to the stage. So many people share their memories of dancing to some of my songs, during the ‘slow set’ back in the day. I really hope people get into the spirit, and enjoy the ‘slow set’, a novel thing in the middle of a festival, I’m sure!

Well, that’s one way to add a bit of variety to your festival experience.
