Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness is coming to Dublin to do stand-up - here's everything you need to know

All things *truly* keep getting better.

CAN YOU BELIEVE? Jonathan Van Ness is coming to Dublin next year.

The Emmy award-nominated, Game Of Thrones-obsessed hairstylist and podcaster (phew!) is bringing his stand-up show to the Olympia Theatre on 30 April 2019.

Right, what is he actually going to be doing though?

If you’re in dire need of a makeover, or know someone else who is, you’re out of luck. Earlier this year, Jonathan went out on his first comedy tour in the US, bringing a life long dream of becoming a stand-up comedian to life.

“I was minding my own little baby business one day and I got this amazing call from Hotels.com that they wanted to partner up [for the tour],” Van Ness told People.

They wanted to help me get into my vibes of trying to see if I could really do stand-up and really make this a reality.”

On what to expect, Jonathan said: “I’m naturally kind of hammy. It’ll be fast-paced and full of story-telling.” If you like Margaret Cho, you’ll love this, no doubt.

Wait, what about Queer Eye then?

Don’t worry – Jonathan’s little jaunt won’t affect his Queer Eye filming schedule. He’ll still feature in season three, which sees the Fab 5 relocate from Atlanta to Kansas City, Missouri to spread some makeover magic.

Cool! When are tickets on sale again?

Tickets for Jonathan Van Ness’ headline stand-up show at the Olympia Theatre on 30 April go on sale this Friday (30 November) at 9am.
