REALITY TELEVISION IS one of these things that you either love or loathe, which is why it may come as a surprise to some that Oscar-award winning Eddie Redmayne is a fan of Love Island. Proper sort!

In fact, he was absolutely giddy when this year’s winner Dani Dyer gave him a shoutout during her stint on Celebrity Gogglebox.

When Glamour asked him whether a reality TV show and Fantastic Beasts cross-over would work, Eddie practically leaped out of his seat:

“What about Love Island! When we were filming this, Callum [Turner] and I got really into!” 

Can’t really blame though TBH (although we’re not fully sure how a Harry Potter/Love Island crossover would work. Think of the endless Penneys merchandise!)

Meanwhile, Jude Law admitted that he’d never heard of the show. Yeah, the show people talked about endlessly over the summer, whether they liked it or not. He didn’t hear a peep.

“No idea what this show is, Eddie mate you have got to get off Saturday night TV pal,” he replied to Eddie’s gushing.

Perhaps he’s telling the truth in not knowing about the show, ’cause if he did, he’d know it was on seven nights a week. 

Eddie continued: “By the way, the other day, Dani Dyer, who is my favourite human being in the world, was nice about me on telly and it made my life.

Literally, she’s the nation’s sweetheart and if it was the Oscar or Dani, it would be Dani every time!”

Meanwhile, Jude Law decided then was the appropriate time to pull a Jon Bon Jovi and say he’d heard of the Kardashians. When the interview compared Dumbledore to Kris Jenner (questionable), Jude replied with: “Who is that person you referenced?”

Eddie appropriately exclaimed: “He’s pretending; he loves them! She’s the mom! The one who is gently manipulating them all.”

An astute observation from someone who is clearly bet into Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Respect!
