IN RECENT DAYS, Pink felt compelled to respond to remarks made in the media which suggested she had cancelled a concert in Sydney in order to ‘chill in Byron Bay’.

In a lengthy post uploaded to Instagram, the 38-year-old performer patiently outlined the reasons why she was forced to postpone the concert, citing illness as the principle motivator for the decision.

This time, what these parasite paparazzi don’t show you, is two doctor visits in Byron on two consecutive days, antibiotics, steroids, Vick’s, nose spray, throat spray, more steroids, NyQuil, a screaming baby in the middle of the night, every night, while mama gives him warm baths and tells her daughter everything is fine.

The post amassed more than three quarter of a million likes since its upload on Friday, and among those supporting Pink was Justin Timberlake.

In a message which paid tribute to Pink as both a performer and a parent, Justin drew on his own experience of working alongside Pink in order to support her decision to cancel her Sydney show.

As an artist who has had the fortune of sharing the stage twice on tour with this incomparable BADASS (once with ‘NSync and once as a solo artist), I’m here to tell you that you won’t find a harder working, more authentically talented, and more thankful for her place on that stage and her fans than this woman.

Taking exception to the suggestion that Pink was letting down fans in Australia, Justin insisted he had nothing but praise for the performer.

And NOW… as a parent on tour as well, and an artist who LOVES their fans just as much and wants to give them an unprecedented experience… AND is currently battling an injury, a sinus infection, and trying to be the DAD I want to be too?? I say HATS OFF to you, my friend.

Justin then turned his attention to members of the media who chose to spin Pink’s cancellation in such a way, and suggested they focus on individuals within the entertainment industry who do actually ‘half-ass’ it.

I don’t know how Moms/Artists like you exist. Go make up some fodder about somebody who’s half-assin’ it. NOT a real one. Wishing you full health and speedy recovery, Pink! Shine on, sis!

Fans of both performers showed compassion for the position they find themselves in as entertainers and parents.

Here’s the real problem, people don’t bother to see you as human beings… Everyone gets sick, hurt and when you have kids, they want their parents when they are sick. No one else but mom and dad can make it right! Your health and wellness comes first also that of your family.

Pink and Justin performed alongside each other at the most recent Super Bowl.
