Katherine Ryan absolutely roasted a troll who questioned her Irishness
EMPICS Entertainment EMPICS Entertainment
COMEDIAN KATHERINE RYAN has been encouraging people to vote yes in the upcoming referendum on Friday and she’s not here for anyone claiming that she’s no right to speak on the issue.
The Canadian born comedian is speaking up on Twitter to much acclaim but not everyone was so delighted with her interjection.
One troll told her to ‘Stick to your own country and keep your nose out of Ireland’s politics’. Charming fella by the sounds of it.
Katherine wasn’t having any of it though and responded in the most beautiful way.
Use Google next time, mate.
Katherine was born in Canada to an Irish father and Canadian mother and holds dual Canadian and Irish citizenship. Her paternal grandparents are from Cork which means she has every right to speak her mind on Irish issues.
When the troll came back to point out that she cannot vote in the referendum, she silenced him again with a powerful tweet.
I think it’s safe to say that Katherine came off the better here. Friday cannot come quick enough.
