Katie Holmes has been having a whale of a time touring around Ireland

She was spotted in Borris House in Carlow as well as Kilkenny Castle.

ACTRESS KATIE HOLMES picked a decent week to visit Ireland, didn’t she? If you don’t include the last two days of overcast weather in Dublin, Ireland has never looked better so it’s nice that a world-famous actress had the chance to see us at our best.

Yes, that’s right, Katie Holmes has been galavanting around Ireland and doing it in such a manner that we didn’t really notice.

Firstly she was spotted in Avoca in Monkstown because presumably, she heard about how good the food is. Have you tried one of their Rice Krispie squares?

She’s also been sightseeing but rather than rock up the Guinness Storehouse, Katie went to visit Borris House in Co. Carlow. As you do.

This is the Katie Holmes who was at the Dior runway show during Paris fashion week on Monday and then by Thursday, she’s wandering around Borris House in Co. Carlow. Not your average week for an A-list holiday celebrity is it?

That being said Carlow is regularly one of the hottest places in the country as it doesn’t get as much wind as the other south-east counties so she could be onto something.

She decided to pay Kilkenny Castle a visit too in her whistlestop tour of south-east Ireland.

There’s no sign of her boyfriend of 5 years Jamie Foxx but given the great lengths they went to keep the relationship secret, that’s not really a surprise.

According to reports, this is Katie’s first trip to Ireland but she does have some Irish ancestry. Her great-grandfather Martin originally hails from Tipperary but it is unclear if she’s planning to venture down there.

Either way, we hope she enjoyed her trip!
