Keith Richards has been throwing some serious shade at Taylor Swift... it's The Dredge

Your last bit of celeb dirt for the week.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Keith Richards is mad for the drama these days.

Yesterday, he had to apologise for saying that his bandmate Mick Jagger needed to go and get a vasectomy, and today he’s making headlines again. This time, for insulting Taylor Swift.

The 74-year-old suggested that Taylor Swift’s success won’t last much longer. Although Taylor Swift joined The Rolling Stones on stage in 2013 to perform ‘As Tears Go By’, Keith Richards said:

I’ve just been around too long to be picking the bones out of kids. It wouldn’t be fair of me and I’ve always been an opinionated bastard anyway. And I never did really like pop music – even when I became pop music, I was listening to the blues and jazz and not interested in the hits.

Of Taylor Swift in particular, he said “Good luck girl – wish her well while it lasts.” A few years prior to his interview, Richards described Taylor as “a pretty girl” but said that he believes she’s just “flavour of the month.”

In contrast, Taylor Swift described performing with The Rolling Stones as ‘the best moment ever’. Apparently the feeling’s not mutual. (NME)

Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix slammed sexist haters in a speech at the first annual Global Awards last night.

The 25-year-old addressed recent criticism of how the ladies in Little Mix dress.

We just want to say that as a girl band, and as women, we do face a lot of scrutiny all the time. Whether it’s for the way we look, how much thigh we get out, how we dance, what we sing about. We just wanna say that although one day we hope that does stop, right now we’re really not arsed what people think. We are women, we will dress how we want to dress.

She continued:

We will always encourage our fans, especially our female fans, to be themselves and do what they wanna do with our music.

Fans of the group have been applauding Jade’s speech on social media. (Metro)

Craig David doesn’t think that the Spice Girls should go on a reunion tour.

The 36-year-old singer said he’s totally against the idea of the Spice Girls getting back together. He told Mail Online:

It’s a funny one. I mean Spice Girls as a group embodied girl power. I think they’ve grown into women now.
I just think for them to come back and pretend that they can throw on those little dresses and just vibe again isn’t authentic. Back then it was authentic.

He pointed out that each one of the Spice Girls has been doing their own thing for so long, that it would be hard for them to work cohesively after all of this time. (NME)
