CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL War has been delighting audiences for the past week. So much so that it’s raked in over $940 million in just 10 days of release.

No biggy.

The blockbuster sees Captain America and Iron Man face off over the thorny issue of political interference (no, really) and features a host of your favourite characters from the Marvel Universe, including Black Widow, Ant-Man and Hawkeye.

Another beloved character to make a return?

Tony Stark’s Irish artificial intelligence operating system F.R.I.D.A.Y.

Voiced by Tipperary actress Kerry Condon, F.R.I.D.A.Y first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Her accent made Irish audiences in particular “break their shite” laughing.

And now she’s back delivering zingers in her Irish lilt.

One moment that stood out in particular to Irish audiences? When she uttered the immortal line, “Targeting systems are knackered, boss.”

Already in contention for Movie Quote of the Year, tbh.

We demand Kerry Condon work in the following words and phrases for next time:

  • Bollix
  • Banjaxed
  • Eejit
