NATURALLY, WITH MARK Hamill’s appearance on The Late Late Show, came an audience full of massive Star Wars fans of every age.
One of these audience members, was seven-year-old Thomas Flynn, who was basically last year’s Star Wars correspondent on The Late Late Toy Show. You might remember him from this scene:
Thomas had a couple of questions for Mark Hamill.
First he asked “What was your favourite Star Wars movie to act in, and why?” Mark explained that it felt like choosing a favourite child.
You like them all for different reasons. I thought Empire was more challenging, because it wasn’t exactly like Star Wars, there wasn’t a happy ending… We got to meet Yoda, it was more spiritual, more cerebral and it had a surprise ending. How would YOU like it if it turned out that you had Dad Vader?
Thomas said “I’d be surprised.” Before moving onto the next question, Tubs asked “Do you have another – maybe a REAL – question for Mark this time?” Calm down Ryan, it’s a seven-year-old child, not Graham Norton.
Mark Hamill had the kid’s back, and informed Ryan that it was a real question, but Thomas wasn’t too bothered. He was too concerned with extending Mark Hamill an invitation to play with him and his friends.
Me and my friends, every day we play Star Wars on the road and it would be very cool if you came down and played one Jedi Master vs three Padawans.
Mark wasn’t expecting that.
Mark didn’t make any promises or commit to hanging out with Thomas and his friends, but he did tell Thomas to work hard and never give up.
