Kim Kardashian is advertising appetite suppressant lollipops on her Instagram and people aren't impressed

People are calling the post ‘irresponsible’ given how many young fans follow her Instagram.

CELEBRITIES FLOGGING PRODUCTS on their social media is nothing new but they often have to be careful of which products they associate themselves with.

Well Kim Kardashian has gotten herself into a bit of bother with her lastest ad on Instagram which sees her promoting appetite suppressant lollipops.

According to the Flat Tummy Co website, the lollipops are used to keep cravings ‘in check’.

Our Lollipops feature SATIEREAL, a clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants. It works to maximise satiety (which helps control food intake, cravings and weight). So with 1-2 pops per day, you’ll have your hunger under control and cravings in-check. Just have one whenever you start to feel hungry and it’ll help hold you over until your next meal!

Satieral is an extract from saffron and has been shown to reduce ‘snacking frequency’ and has been shown to caused ‘significantly greater body weight production than placebo’ according to a paper published in 2010.

Regardless of it actually works or not, people including ’The Good Place’ and positive body image campaigner Jameela Jamil are not impressed with Kim putting this ad on her Instagram given the amount of teenage girls who follow her.

People are also pointing out that Kim doesn’t need to do this given how successful she already is.

One would hope that Kim might remove the post but as of now, it’s still on her Instagram. Given the backlash it might be time to ask does she realise how much influence she has over people or does just she care about the money?

One would hope this is just a slip up.
