IN OCTOBER 2014, Serial was launched.
Gaining momentum with every passing week, Sarah Koenig’s 12-part investigation into the murder of Hae Min Lee attracted podcast fans from all over the globe, and as of June 2017 episodes had been downloaded a total of 175 million times.
And this week, Kim Kardashian-West got the memo.
In a tweet which has resulted in trolling of epic proportions, Kim announced that she was listening to Serial and was only dying to know who else had gotten in on it.
A fair question if it was 2014, but it’s not.
So, you know, only everyone else on the planet about four years back, Kim.
Who has listened to the SERIAL podcast? I’m on episode 4 now and dying to know what you guys think? Is he guilty or innocent?!?!

A lot of people are giving you crap for this but I realize that this is actually your way of announcing that you have built a time machine

Following the backlash, Kim swiftly posted another tweet.
And this time she referred specifically to the second season of the podcast, which was launched in 2016.

So, you know, hold up everyone, maybe you got it wrong.
Maybe she’s not referring to the Hae Min Lee case at all, but actually just eager to get in on some second season chat.
She’s only two years late now.
