8 cute Korean beauty products you can get in TK Maxx right now
WE’VE ALL BECOME skincare obsessed in recent years. But despite our best efforts, we will never be on par with the Koreans.
I’m not sure I know of any other country which indulges in a 10-step skincare routine. They just love slapping stuff on. Not to mention those Freddy Kruger-esque sheet masks that are all the rage this weather.
TK Maxx has proven time and time again to be an absolute treasure trove for beauty products – Korean skincare is no exception.
(Obviously, due to the nature of the store, you’re not always guaranteed to pick up the same products every time, but these bad boy’s are available right now in Stephen’s Green).
1. Panda’s Dream Brightening Eye Base
Not a concealer, but a translucent brightening product – perfect for no makeup days, or The Morning After The Night Before.
Also, we obvs cant’ say no to kitschy packaging.
2. Milky Piggy WaterCoating Aqua Brightening Mask
Because don’t we all want to look like sumptuous, luminous piglets?
This is supposed to go above-and-beyond your regular Joe Soap moisturiser. Some users recommend slapping it on and sleeping it in – if that doesn’t appeal to you, lash it on at the end of you routine for a moisture boost.
3. Tony Moly Banana Hand Milk
Shea butter and milk protein mean this actually does do some good beyond the novelty packaging.
Supposedly, the second thing people notice about you when you’re introduced is your hands – so feed them!
4. Étude House Pink Vital Water Wash-Off Pack
Étude House is the go-to brand for Korean skincare. It has a product for every problem.
This is an elastic-y, peach-scented buzz of a mask, with regular users saying that it has transformed the texture of their face – particularly if you’re a touch on the dry side.
5. Tony Moly Tomatox
This is literally just another masked hidden in a classically amusing tomato
This is great for boosting circulation and given you a (temporary) “lit-from-within” glow.
6. Étude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam
Ok, before you panic – there is no actual baking powder in this product. There is baking soda, however which has been praised for its exfoliating capabilities.
This stuff will remove your base makeup and leave you squeaky clean and polished. However, if your skin is in any way dry or sensitive, the probably won’t suit you.
7. Jeju Natural Aloe Cleansing Foam
This is the perfect, gentler alternative to the above if you’re looking for something to dissolve your slap.
This won’t strip your skin of moisturise, and claims to calm redness and irritation after one use.
8. Étude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack in ‘Green Tea’
For the Pumpkin Spce Latté hun in your life, this stuff comes in a faux-takeaway bubble tea cup while actual product is full of ‘moisture capsule bubbles’ (similar to actual bubble tea).
This is a literal drink for your skin – it’s recommended to apply it after the rest of your routine and sleep it in, to maximise moisture consumption.
