One half of Kris Kross dead at 34
CHRIS KELLY, ONE half of the nineties pop sensations Kris Kross, has died in Atlanta at the age of 34.
Kelly rose to fame alongside his rap partner Chris Smith, performing under the name Mac Daddy.
Kris Kross were best known for their hit Jump, which reached number one in Ireland in 1992. The pair were also known for starting a trend of wearing clothes backwards.
Kelly was pronounced dead at around 5pm local time yesterday at the Atlanta Medical Centre. TMZ reports that he had been found unconscious in his home.
Authorities say the cause of death is unknown and an autopsy will be carried out.
Kriss Kross were back together in February to celebrate the 20th anniversary of So So Def Recordings.
