Lady Gaga is going to be on RuPaul's Drag Race and 2017 has been saved
LADY GAGA MIGHT have just performed to millions during the highly-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show, but some might argue that this is a greater achievement.

Yes, Lady Gaga is to be a guest judge on the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race! YAAAAAAASSS.
(If you’re not already familiar, RPDR is a reality competition starring drag queens. It’s all on Netflix. Get into it!)
Her appearance on the show has been years in the making – in 2013, she tweeted RuPaul pleading for a judging spot:
Gaga has often been mentioned as an inspiration by the queens competing on the show, and is one of the few stars to be impersonated multiple times on the show’s celebrity impressions challenge, Snatch Game.
Now finally, FINALLY, they get to meet the real deal:
The singer previously collaborated with RuPaul for her Christmas special with The Muppets in 2013, performing her song Fashion – so we assume she got a word in Ru’s ear then.
RPDR has celebrity guests every season (Debbie Reynolds, Olivia Newton-John, and our own Graham Norton have all been on) but Gaga is the most-high profile judge so far.
RuPaul is remaining enragingly tight-lipped about when Season 9 will premiere, but for now we can content ourselves with judging the new queens from the teaser trailer:
Come on, Gaga and Mama Ru. Deliver us from 2017.
