Lady Gaga to appear at MTV EMAs in Belfast

The singer is among a host of music stars expected to descend on the North next month.

LADY GAGA IS TO join a host of stars at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) in Belfast next month, organisers have confirmed.

The Grammy award-winner will join Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Jessie J and LMFAO at the Odyssey Arena in the city with performances also from Irish favourites Snow Patrol and Jason Derulo at Belfast City Hall.

With American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers also play at the Ulster Hall on 6 November, it will be the first time that the EMAs will be presented from three different locations in the host city, BBC News reports.

Selena Gomez will host the event with award presenters to include MTV stars such as Snooki and JWoww from ‘Jersey Shore’.

Gaga, who has five Grammy awards to her name and has sold some 23 million albums worldwide, is nominated for six different awards – Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Pop Act, Best Song and Best Video for “Born This Way.”  Her sixth nomination in the Biggest Fans category, MTV reports.

Bruno Mars and Katie Perry are also tipped to do well with four nominations each.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds to Mars have three nominations. There’s also nominations for the likes of Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Arcade Fire, and Kings of Leon.
