Twitter is fascinated by the 'gruesome' film which caused a mass walk-out at Cannes
THERE’S NO DOUBT that Lars Von Trier has made a name for himself as a hugely divisive director and screenwriter over the course of his 40-year career.

Indeed, the Danish filmmaker once found himself barred from the Cannes Film Festival after revealing he ‘sympathised’ with Hitler during a press conference at the premiere of his film, Melancholia.
This time around however, it’s a Von Trier’s latest film, not his contentious remarks, which are causing outrage.

Von Trier’s ‘The House That Jack Built’ premiered in Cannes this week, and according to reports, hundreds of people walked out of the theater, disgusted by the depiction of the murder and mutilation.
Starring Matt Dillon, who plays a serial killer, the film has sparked outrage at the renowned international festival.
While audiences were reportedly warned of the graphic nature prior to entry, dozens walked out throughout the film’s screening this week.
Unsurprisingly however, the publicity has piqued the attention of millions, who may not have even heard of the movie had it not been for the audience’s reaction.
And now it looks like horror fans are counting down the seconds until its release.
