IF YOU WEREN’T sitting outside, surrounded by empty cans and pretending you weren’t getting cold last night, then you may not be aware that The Late Late Country Special aired this week.
Unless you’ve checked Twitter, that is.

With Daniel O’Donnell, Nathan Carter, Susan McCann, Paddy Cole and Fr Brian D’Arcy on hand to discuss the impact the late Big Tom had on the Irish country scene, and Ronan Keating and more performing some classic tracks, there’s no denying that Ryan and co. put their all into the musical extravaganza.

We mean, think a Valentine’s Special with cowboy hats and excessive whooping.
All in all, good clean fun.
Twitter, however, weren’t as united in their response, with some viewers feeling just a little perplexed by the whole shebang and others almost weak with the weight of their emotion over certain songs.

And then there was the tweet that summed up the entire show, no matter which side of the fence you stood on.
Too true lads, too true.
