A sheep was sheared live on the Late Late last night and nobody is quite sure why

We’ve reached peak Irish TV.

THE LATE LATE show never fails to amuse, and confuse.

The show continued with the theme of having farm animals in the studio by filming a man shear a sheep for no particular reason.

World record holder in sheep shearing, Ivan Scotts, sheared 867 wool lambs in nine hours. In studio, he sheared one in 41 seconds and everyone was like, wtf.

Even Ryan was a bit… confused.

1. Most people agreed it was possibly the most Irish piece of Friday night television, EVER

2. We kinda hoped all tourists were out enjoying Culture Night

3. Some were concerned about the lack of tagging on the sheep, in true rural fashion

4. Others were concerned that it’ll catch a cold

Be grand, get their big coat on them.

5. And what will their mates say?

6. Where was the mirror? What kind of barber is this?

7. Em, does anyone else remember when Bear Grylls literally pulled a sheep apart to eat it’s heart?

HE IS BACKSTAGE. It was IN IRELAND. (NSFL link)

8. Don’t worry, we’re sure he was content with the backstage nibbly bits

9. We just can’t keep track of all the farm animals round these parts
