CHVRCHES SINGER LAUREN Mayberry is no Ed Sheeran. Marriage proposals are a NO GO during the Scottish band’s gigs. ESPECIALLY, ones made directly to the singer herself.

When propositioned with a guy in the crowd shouting ‘marry me now’, Lauren replied with,

Oh come on. What’s the hit rate on that? When you go to public places and you ask women you don’t know to wed you, snog you? Does that work out well for you, sir?

Shot down.

I assume, because you’re here, that you know a bit about our band, and I’m very grumpy. I don’t want that shit.

When another male fan shouted up Why are you grumpy Lauren? she replied with one firm finger.
