Lena Waithe spoke about the allegations levelled at her Master of None co-star Aziz Ansari
IN JANUARY OF this year, creator and star of Master of None, Aziz Ansari, found himself the subject of intense media scrutiny after a 23-year-old photographer accused him of sexual misconduct.

The woman, who went by the name of Grace when speaking to Babe.net, disclosed details of a date she went on with the former Parks and Recreation star, before stating she felt violated by his sexual advances.
At a time when #MeToo campaigners were fighting to have their voices heard, ‘Grace’ was dismissed by many who felt she purposely misrepresented the situation, and ultimately trivialised the overarching aim of the #MeToo campaign.
Aziz has always maintained that the exchange was consensual, and this week, Vanity Fair spoke to his Master of None co-writer and co-star, Lena Waithe, about the matter.
Mere weeks on from the highly-publicised allegations, Lena, 33, offers her own insight into the matter, but refuses to focus specifically on her co-star’s experience at the beginning of the year.
Stressing the importance of communication in this instance, Lena continues her train of thought.
Lena, who was the first black woman to receive an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series on Master of None, has intimated that a third season of the show is likely to go ahead.

However, Aziz himself has stepped out of the spotlight in the aftermath of the allegations, leaving viewers wondering the fate of the Netflix show.
