IF YOU TUNED into Operation Transformation last night, you are among hundreds of thousands of people who bore witness to the moment our health-conscious Taoiseach learned that he had a metabolic age of 53 – somewhat of a blow considering the fact he’s just 40.
Following a series of tests on the popular RTÉ programme, Leo Varadkar was told that he had the metabolic age of someone almost a decade and a half his senior.
“I’m surprised by that,” he replied in response to the results. “I’d have to see the science behind the breakdown.”
Of course he does, sure.
The former Minister for Health and Sports, who prides himself on adhering to a regular exercise routine and recently made reference to reducing his red meat intake, was unsurprisingly the talk of Twitter in the aftermath of the big reveal.
And look, we’ll be honest, viewers were positively revelling in the moment.
Whoever invited Leo on to do his metabolic age needs a bonus ........ Just don't tell him that😂 #OperationTransformation
