People were so worried about the fate of two pups 'arrested' in Finglas yesterday

But they’ve been reunited with their owner.

TWO PUPS WERE taken into custody last night for antisocial behaviour.

The two ‘noisy howlers’ were picked up around Finglas yesterday after chasing a man on his bike, and the photo of them in a cell is HEARTBREAKING.

The @GardaTraffic account tweeted the photos of the pups yesterday afternoon, saying the dogs would be kept until this morning and then handed over to the pound.

While they pleaded for the owners to claim the pups, people weren’t happy with quick turnover to the pound

The Garda confirmed this morning that the dogs have gone to the pound, but judging by some willing adopters, they will get out soon enough

UPDATE: The gardaí have confirmed to us that the dogs have been reunited with their owner.
