Lily Allen chooses Where's Me Jumper as one of her Desert Island Discs
SINGER LILY ALLEN has whittled down the eight tracks she’d bring with her if she was stranded on a desert island.
And one of them is none other than Cork’s finest Sultans of Ping FC’s classic Where’s Me Jumper?
Explaining her choice for the BBC Radio 4 show, Allen called the song “a bit of a wild card” and said:
See Lily, you DO know what it’s about. It couldn’t be any clearer really.
Host Kirsty Young called the inclusion of Where’s Me Jumper a “first for Desert Island Discs”. We’ll say.
The other songs Allen chose were:
Pulp – Common People
The Stone Roses – I Am The Resurrection
The Streets – Blinded By The Lights
Gerry Rafferty – Right Down The Line
Etta James – I’d Rather Go Blind
General Degree – Traffic Blocking
Tommy Mc Lain – Before I Grow Too Old
