A LITTLE GIRL has melted hearts all over the internet by giving a police officer a teddy bear to ‘keep him safe’.
The Mississippi officer Josh McConnell was on patrol when the little girl he says was around three or four handed him his new partner.
He wrote on Facebook:
I tried to give it back but she refused. She looked up at me and said it was to keep me safe.
I said thank you while trying to keep my voice from cracking. I put the bear on my passenger seat for her to see. Her mother told me that they have a LEO in the family and she always heard everyone tell him to be safe.
The girl’s mother said there is police in the family, so the little girl would have heard people asking her relatives to stay safe.
Now, she’s returning the favour.
