London's first ever cat cafe opened yesterday and it's a thing of wonder

We want to go to there.

WE LIKE COFFEE, we like cats. Why not combine these two pleasures into one safe haven in a bustling city?

That’s exactly what Lady Dinah’s aim to do. The emporium, designed for “kitty-bereft city dwellers and visitors” opened yesterday and the world is all the better of it.

Just LOOK at these overjoyed cats.

The emporium is run by Lauren Pears and is home to 11 resident cats, Adamska, Artemis, Biscuit, Carbonelle, Donnie, Indiana, Loki, Mue, Petra, Romeo and Wookie.

The whole project was entirely crowd-funded and 3,000 bookings were made in the first five hours after the café announced an official open day.

Also, they’re hiring! Never before has a move to London looked so appealing.

If you can’t quite swing that though, they’ll be launching a live webcam soon. Until then, have some cat gifs for your troubles.
