A MAN CLAIMING to have discovered the world’s longest Hula Hoop has sold the overlarge corn snack for a whopping €904. Yes. NINE HUNDRED EURO.
Musician Stuart Hampton found the massive crisp in a packet of salt-and-vinegar flavoured Hula Hoops (controversial) a few weeks ago.

And here it is beside the packet, for scale:
He bravely decided to part ways with the Hula Hoop, and put it up on eBay on October 19 for the low low price of £1.
Overnight, bids shot up to £140, before closing at £712 (€904) last Sunday.
He told the Manchester Evening News that he’s not sure if the winning bidder will pay up but it was “all just a bit of a laugh” anyway:
I was walking down the street just cracking up laughing about it but if I do get the money it is definitely going towards my commune.
Well. Isn’t that nice.
