Longitude: New summer music festival unveiled for Dublin
KRAFTWERK WILL HEADLINE a new open-air music festival set to take place in a Dublin park this summer.
The Longitude Festival, which is scheduled for the weekend of July 19-21 in Marlay Park, will also feature Phoenix and Vampire Weekend.
Promoted by MCD, the event is advertised as “music and arts” event with the tagline “It’s more than just a music festival.”
Indie acts Foals, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Hot Chip are also high up the bill alongside Irish performers including Villagers, Kodaline and Mmoths.
Early bird tickets will be available from March 4 at €129.50 for the weekend and €44.50 for a day ticket. From April 7, full-priced tickets will be €149.50 for the weekend and €54.50 daily.
It is expected to compete with the Forbidden Fruit festival, which runs from June 1-2 at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
The full Longitude Festival line-up announced so far is: Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Kraftwerk, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals, Villagers, Hot Chip, Jake Bugg, Modest Mouse, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Paul Kalkbrenner, SBTRKT (DJ set), Mark Lanegan, Local Natives, Django Django, Jessie Ware, TrentmØller Kodaline, MMoths, Tom Odell, AlunaGeorge, Flume, Cast of Cheers, Young Wonder, MØ, Mikhael Paskalev, S O H N, Petite Noir, Half Moon Run, Vondelpark, Stealing Sheep.
