ON JANUARY 2, there was sad news for one small stuffed bunny.

He was lost at breakfast in the five-star Adare Manor Hotel in Limerick, after becoming separated from his young owner. The hotel posted the photo above to their Facebook that morning.

Sadly, his owner could not be found straight away. So the hotel began posting important updates.

By the next morning, things were looking up.

And the search for his owner began in earnest.

By this time, hundreds of people were following Lost Bunny’s search for his owner on Facebook.

And then finally… good news! His owner – a three-year-old named Kate – was located!

And Kate was already planning a welcome home party for the following day.

Meanwhile, Lost Bunny was sitting by the fire looking forward to the reunion.

And all his fans online were delighted by the news!

It was a long night. But the tuck-down service and chocolates on the pillow were some consolation. As was the luxury bunny dressing gown.

Hopefully, the bunny and his young owner have been reunited this morning. Happy new year to Kate and her bunny!
