WHEN IRISH PEOPLE move abroad, it’s the little things they miss.
The first sip of a Bulmers in a rainy beer garden during the ‘summer’, the small pleasure of a cupa and a purple snack, and mainly, the delicious cuisine of their local chipper or Chinese.
Nicola Ní Shúilleabháin currently lives in Spain, and hatched a plan to bring a taste of home back to her two Irish pals she left behind while heading back to Louth for a visit.
Yes, she decided to smuggle a special curry on the plane
Nicola, armed with three large 3 in 1s with beef, three salt and chili chickens, and three spring rolls, packed her suitcase and made her way to make the delivery of her life.
The Chinese in question was the Golden Bowl in Drogheda, who she tells us “were very helpful in the quest by wrapping everything up twice”.
She is an angel amongst us humans
She eventually made it almost 3,000km in cars, trains, and planes, from Drogheda to Granada, Spain
It was a worrying journey in the 30 degree heat, but thankfully, she got there safely
There wasn’t even a leak.
Just add some Monster Munch, and you’ve got a beautiful sight
The three friends were good to go after a quick zap in the microwave
Can you even IMAGINE the satisfaction?
Nicola tells us it was all the brainchild of her mate Lee McEneff, and Mikayla Fox, who was waiting to greatfully recieve the munch.
Hilarious what comes from a drunken idea!
You can do anything once you put your hungry mind to it.
