Love/Hate's Elmo says that he would be 'quite happy' for the series to end

The show’s future still remains uncertain.

NOW THAT WE have established that Love/Hate isn’t returning in 2015, some of the show’s stars are speaking out about the show’s future.

At the conclusion of season five, Elmo was one of the few characters who was, you know, still alive and actor Laurence Kinlan is now saying that he would be “quite happy” for it to end there. The actor told RTÉ Ten:

I’d be quite happy for it to end where it has just because it’s gone out with such a bang.  He’s kind of tied up a lot of loose ends and it felt like a last episode.

RTÉ announced a few weeks ago that the show would not be returning in 2015 following its drama-filled season finale and would instead afford series creator Stuart Carolan time to assess where the series would go in the future.

Kinlan stated that he would be happy to continue on in his role as Elmo if the show continues.

If they go on to do another one, I’d be quite happy to be involved.
He’s given himself a bit of time and he’ll decide with RTÉ whether or not it’s right to go on for a sixth and I’ll support him all the way and if they want me back, I’m quite happy to run back. I’m not dead – yes!
