To celebrate Love Hearts’ 60th anniversary, sweet manufacturers Swizzlers invited the public to submit new phrases to be included on the sweet. Fourteen new phrases have made the cut and they are horrifyingly modern.
Gone are the simple days of “Fax Me” and “Page Me”. We now live in an era during which “Take A Selfie”, “#Selfie” and “YOLO” reign.
Other new additions to the Love Hearts family include “Alreet Pet”, “Totes Hilar” and “Skype Me”.
Worst of all, though?
There is now a “Swipe Right” Love Heart, a reference to the popular dating app Tinder.
