Dr Alex convinced Adam to stay in the Love Island villa after Zara left and she was fuming

Zara called him ‘selfish’ for doing it.

LOVE ISLAND IS into the last two weeks and some of those who have left the villa in the last few weeks are now spilling the tea as to how some stuff went really down.

One of the big talking points this series was Adam Collard’s relationship with Zara McDermott and whether or not he really liked her or not. As you’ll recall, Zara was dumped from the island in a dramatic recoupling and to say she was distraught was a bit of an understatement.

Adam then went back and forth on whether he should leave with her or not. He ultimately decided not to and it turns out that it was Dr Alex who convinced Adam to stay.

Zara and Adam were on with Muireann O’Connell on Today FM and when Muireann asked if Alex was in there to impress the lads rather than find love, Zara wasted no time in expressing her feelings about him.

I agree with that. To be honest, Alex was the main person who stopped Adam leaving and I’m a little bit annoyed at that if I’m honest because I feel like that was quite selfish of him. I like him but not in that situation.”

So what was Adam’s take on the whole thing?

I have to admit, he was probably the main culprit foe keeping me in the villa. He was probably the one person that convinced me the most.”

Adam did at least admit that maybe following Alex’s advice wasn’t the best idea.

I was very close to going numerous times and for someone who gives Alex all the advice in the world to take that advice off him was probably a bit stupid.”

Just a tad maybe hun.

Well, Zara has had the last laugh anyway considering her and Adam are now together and seem very happy and cute so that’s nice!

As for Dr Alex, it looks like it’s lads before love and frankly we’re not here for it anymore.
