Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham say they're not getting married because they're 'not a showmance'

‘It would be silly.’

LET’S BE HONEST here, when word landed that Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham had gotten back together after a very brief break-up in recent weeks, Love Island fans started questioning whether the split and subsequent reconciliation had been little more than a publicity stunt.

In no time at all, we had Dani announcing the split on social media, Jack badmouthing his ex in the pub, Dani’s father weighing in to insist we’d all gotten the wrong end of the stick, and all of a sudden, they were back together again.

And naturally, the couple are well aware that that little episode has resulted in more than a little public cynicism.

Addressing the issue during a recent interview with Heat magazine, the pair denied that their union is little more than a ‘showmance’, and reminded the public that they’re still in the early days of their relationship.

Elaborating on this, Dani said:

People want us to get married, because our relationship was sped up on Love Island, so they want it to be sped up in the real world.

“They want to see the end results,” Jack added.

And the ‘end result’ is not something Dani or Jack have any interest in pursuing right now, with Dani saying:

It would be silly. We’re not a showmance, so I’m not going to get married at 22. We ain’t even been together that long, if you think about it.

“June 22nd is the day we got together officially,” Jack reminded readers. “Yeah, you’ve got to do things in your own time. People pressure you.”

Right, that’s all clear … for now.
