THE AMAZING, WONDERFUL, graceful, brilliant Lupita Nyong’o looked like this at the Met Gala on Monday.
STAR. The Kenyan-Mexican actress wore a Calvin Klein dress and did we mention she looks flawless?
Her hair certainly made a statement, with Nyong’o telling Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley that she was inspired by sculptural hairdos from all around the continent” and of course, Nina Simone.
Vogue, seemingly ignoring this, compared the actress to Audrey Hepburn, and Lupita was not having it.
Vogue wrote:
The sculptural style is also reminiscent of the updo Audrey Hepburn sported in a 1963 Vogue shoot with Bert Stern.
Obviously disagreeing, Lupita posted this video to Instagram, elegantly showing her true inspiration
