Macaulay Culkin spent eight hours shading Oscar attendees on Twitter... it's The Dredge

Your daily dose of celeb dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Macaulay Culkin spent eight hours live-tweeting the Academy Awards

When Macaulay Culkin commits, he really commits.

We mean, he may not have been attending the Academy Awards on Sunday night, but that didn’t stop him from donning a tux and throwing in his two cents… for a good eight hours.

In a lengthy thread, the Home Alone star shared his thoughts and opinions on numerous stars, and didn’t hold back when it came to certain actors.

And lest there be any confusion over his interest in the annual event, the former child star shared numerous photos of what he’d rather be doing, and this included making ramen and painting his toenails.

The Rock is buzzing over his Razzie Award win

While Hollywood’s biggest and brightest were being honoured at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was celebrating his own win.

You see, Baywatch had just earned itself a Razzie Award – an accolade reserved for the worst films of the last 12 months.

And The Rock was as gracious as they come when sharing the news with fans on Twitter, writing: “I’m excited because I was just informed that I too am bringing home the gold tonight, no not an Oscar, but maybe one day, but a Razzie. ”

But here’s the cool thing. The movie was so bad, they actually had to create a new category, I’m not kidding, that category, the new category, is ‘A Movie So Rotten You Eventually Fell in Love With It.’ I’m not kidding.

And that’s how you do it, folks.

RuPaul apologises for remarks he made about the transgender community

In a recent interview with The Guardian, RuPaul suggested he wouldn’t be open to a post-operative transwoman joinging the Emmy Award-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race.

His remarks were met with considerable backlash – outcry which RuPaul responded to on Twitter yesterday.

Each morning I pray to set aside everything I THINK I know, so I may have an open mind and a new experience. I understand and regret the hurt I have caused. The trans community are heroes of our shared LGBTQ movement. You are my teachers.

And the rest of the day’s dirt…
