Madonna blames 'thugs' for 'riot' at Paris show
MADONNA HAS RESPONDED to criticism of her MDNA show in Paris at the weekend, explaining that disturbances were caused by “a few thugs who were not my fans”.
It was reported that members of the audience began booing and throwing bottles because the show was shorter than expected. However Examiner.com reports that French investigators have confirmed that supporters of National Front leader Marine Le Pen had planned to cause a disturbance at the show.
Madonna has been using images of Le Pen associating her with a swastika, and the far right National Front party has said that it will launch legal action as a result of the singer broadcasting pictures of the French politician with the Nazi symbol superimposed on her forehead.
Madonna has now spoken out on her official website about what happened at the show in the Olympia in Paris:
Tickets for the intimate Paris show were put on sale at the last minute, and were made available first for members of Madonna’s fan club .
