#MakeASongDublin is trending on Twitter and it's an absolute joy

The puns, the puns!

SURE, THERE ARE lots of musical odes to Dublin city as a whole, but what of the suburbs? The villages? Don’t they deserve love too?

The hashtag #MakeASongDublin is seeking to make up for that with some excellent riffs on popular song titles.

It was devised by Alan Kinsella of the @electionlit Twitter account, who started it off with a banger:

Now there are hundreds of Dublin-ified song names – and if you love puns as much as we love puns, they’re are a complete joy.
